About the G2Plus

Who is G2Plus?

G2Plus are the two strong Gs from GASAG and Gegenbauer who combine their skills and experience. A team of experienced experts develops tailor-made and individual solutions and draws on a large pool of expertise from Gasag and Gegenbauer. This unique network also includes recognized external specialist engineers. Our team introduces itself to you in the About Us section .

What does G2Plus offer?

The goal is the optimal energy efficiency of your property in order to reduce energy costs and protect the environment. Economic efficiency, sustainability and legal requirements are requirements that have to be met. G2Plus uses the most modern and newest technologies for this. The G2Plus experts can also discover potential savings and reduce energy costs in your property. You can find detailed information in the Our Services section.

What are the advantages of the G2Plus over other energy consultants?

In contrast to other energy consultants, the G2Plus benefits from the connection between GASAG and Gegenbauer. With this pool of experienced engineers in the fields of energy management and facility management, G2Plus offers its customers comprehensive, interdisciplinary and well-founded know-how. Profitability, sustainability and legal requirements are requirements that you can meet with the services of the G2Plus. In addition to providing advice, G2Plus also takes over the implementation of the measures at the customer’s request, looks after them and checks their success afterwards.

Is it worth using G2Plus in my company?

There are many ways to save energy. The aim of G2Plus is to refinance consulting services and investments in the shortest possible time. The measures then sustainably reduce costs and generate savings without any loss of added value. Many technical building systems can be optimized with just a small investment. Older systems in particular usually have high savings potential. The G2Plus uses the most modern measurement and analysis methods to identify this potential. The experts at G2Plus will find out which optimization measures are suitable for you in an analysis of your buildings and systems and work with you to evaluate the measures that are tailored to your needs.

What is holistic energetic advice?

A holistic energetic consideration is not limited to the condition and use of the systems. It also includes energy demand and energy consumption, opens up energy efficiency potential with and without investments, and includes an economic feasibility study.

How sustainable are the measures to optimize energy efficiency?

With the energy efficiency optimization, the energy consumption of the property is reduced and thus also the energy costs. That means a permanently better energy balance and less CO2 emissions. The energy efficiency optimization measures themselves are also always designed to be as sustainable as possible by the G2Plus. Regenerative energy systems are always taken into account and, depending on the possibility and request, are included in the energy efficiency optimization. For example, old boilers could be replaced by modern solar thermal systems or even highly innovative fuel cells.

Economy and funding

Are investments to save energy promoted?

Funding programs take place at international, national and state level. The requirements and specifications for obtaining funding are very complex and often deter companies from using their funding options. G2Plus will be happy to advise you and give you a better overview of the funding options.

What savings potential is possible?

New energy technologies offer potential savings of up to 80%. However, this depends on the type of system and the technical starting point of your property. The G2Plus efficiency house, which you can view and download on our website, was designed to illustrate the entire spectrum of potential savings.

When do the applications for energy-saving measures pay off?

The payback times for energy-saving measures can vary widely. As a rule, the (primary) return on investment, i.e. the point in time from which the investments are offset by the energy savings, is between 2-5 years.Often the measures even pay for themselves after a year.

What is a BAFA grant?

BAFA is the Federal Office for Economic and Export Control, which acts on behalf of the BMWi (Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy) and implements funding programs for the economy and energy. Funding is usually provided through long-term, low-interest loans, e.g. from KfW with repayment grants from federal funds for market incentive programs.

Audits und Standards

Who has to conduct an energy audit?

On December 4th, 2012, the Energy Efficiency Directive 2012/27 / EU became binding for all EU member states. The energy efficiency directive calls for extensive measures to achieve the European energy efficiency targets. All companies that do not fall under the conditions of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are obliged to hold an energy audit and to recertify themselves every four years. Failure to comply can result in fines of up to € 50,000. The presentation of an energy management system according to DIN EN ISO 50001 can exempt you from the obligation to carry out an energy audit.

What does DIN EN ISO 50001 mean?

The energy management system according to DIN EN ISO 50001 is defined as “the entirety of interrelated or interacting elements for the introduction of an energy policy and strategic energy goals, as well as processes and procedures to achieve these strategic goals”. Characteristic of the energy management system according to DIN EN ISO 50001 is the Plan-Do-Check-Act cycle (PDCA), which is intended to enable a constant improvement in energy savings and the associated processes.

What does DIN EN ISO 50003 mean?

DIN EN ISO 50003 is a specification of the requirements for bodies that audit and certify energy management systems. The 50003 serves as a supplement to DIN EN ISO 50001. It is intended to ensure the effectiveness of the audits by stipulating requirements for competence, consistency and impartiality. This includes, for example, the calculation of the audit days.

What does DIN EN ISO 9001 mean?

DIN EN ISO 9001 is a globally recognized certification for quality management systems that aims to continuously improve processes and procedures. It defines the minimum requirements for quality management.

What does the law on energy services and other energy efficiency measures (EDL-G) mean?

On December 4th, 2012, the Energy Efficiency Directive 2012/27 / EU became binding for all EU member states. It calls for extensive measures to achieve the European energy efficiency targets. The national adaptation of this EU directive, the law on energy services and other energy efficiency measures (EDL-G), came into force on April 22, 2015 and is considered to be an important pillar for achieving the national and European climate protection goals. The law on energy services and other energy efficiency measures (EDL-G) is intended to ensure lower primary energy consumption and thus support climate protection. It refers to EU directives and is aimed primarily at companies. Among other things, the law obliges larger companies to have their energy consumption checked regularly (audit 16247-1 or EnMS DIN EN ISO 50001 or, alternatively, to introduce an energy management system (EMS).

Is my company affected by EDL-G?

According to the EDL-G, all companies that do not fall under the conditions of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are obliged to hold an energy audit by December 5, 2015 and then carry out the next energy audit every four years. If this requirement is not complied with, fines of up to € 50,000 per property may be due.

What is an energy management system?

An energy management system serves to continuously improve the energy-related performance of a company. This is achieved by defining systems and processes to monitor, analyze and, if possible, improve energy efficiency, energy use and energy consumption. The introduction of an energy management system thus offers considerable potential for reducing operating costs and protecting the environment.

Effective measures for energy efficiency

What does a charging infrastructure do for my energy efficiency?

The federal government is pursuing the goal of reducing German greenhouse gas emissions by 40 percent by 2020 compared to 1990 levels. The transport sector plays a special role here, as it is responsible for around 20 percent of all greenhouse gas emissions in Germany. The main climate protection measure is the switch to electromobility. But not only do the vehicles have to be gradually replaced for this, the necessary infrastructure must also be in place. G2Plus is exactly the right contact for this. G2Plus provides professional advice and develops individual charging infrastructure concepts, implements them and operates them, including additional services. Why is a lighting concept important to increase efficiency? Lighting often has a large share in the energy consumption of buildings. The possibilities of energetic optimization are diverse here. However, the implementation of the measures should always take the respective lighting concept into account. It is important to ensure that the illuminance and lighting intensity meet the legal requirements (e.g. workplace ordinance) and the user requirements. G2Plus sees great potential in the energetic optimization of lighting systems and offers you competent contacts for this.
